Went to the movies last night and saw George Harrison - Living in the Material World..One of the most detailed obsessive autobiographical documentary I have ever seen.
Listened to "Something" after a long time. Harrison had written it for Pattie Boyd his then girlfriend.I consider it to be one of the best love songs of all time. Pattie Boyd has the honours of inspiring 2 great love songs the other one being Clapton's "Layla".

No other song in my opinion spells summertime like this one here. It is by Canadian sibling, one-hit wonders called Len. I think it is about teenagers getting wasted and talking about it the next day. Great tune..v v addictive.
Summertime is one of my favourite Janis Joplin songs. She was like the female Robert Plant. She was the archetypical rock-n-roll stereotype, amazing talent and range of voice, but eternally flawed by alcohol and drug abuse. Also check out Club of 27.
Here comes the sun, by George Harrison. During a troubled part of my life this song gave me a lot of hope. It is one of the best George Harrison tunes, the other one in my opinion being "Something". George wrote and composed it by himself and this is one of the most remarkable Beatles songs. I still get chills thinking about the time when I was alone in my room and"Here Comes The Sun" started playing and I had tears started streaming down my face. It is a tragedy that songs like this one here are not written anymore.
There are few things that I love as dearly as I love music. My favourite artists are the ones who can blend soul-searching lyrics with some passionate tunes. Songs do not necessarily have to have a message. So you will find stuff ranging from "Booty Call" to "Blowing in the Wind" in my blog.
Some days I will just post some videos and maybe write a little bit about each song and what in it appeals to me.
This is entirely an exercise to get better at writing, which I am planning to do a lot of in the future. If you do visit please drop a message or a comment.
